Day one of Spring break: Did nothing!! Good or bad? I have been trying to make it to the movies to see "The Ring 2" I really would like to watch, especially since I have the first one and the Japanese version. I think I will try to watch it tomorrow (errr....today_)

Okay, this next piece of my Journal is a Tribute to one of my favorite actors:: Keanu Reeves. I know that many people have stated again and again just how terrible an actor he is, but I do not believe that. I think that he has talent, just not in the perspective that the majority sees it. I do not know if it is his personality that does it, or what, but I do believe that he is an excellent actor. I cannot say "Academy Award winning" excellent, but when looking back at my DVD collection I realize that I have a lot of films with KR in it (Bill & TEd, Matrix, Speed, Hardball, Pointbreak) Furthermore, I have almost all of his films. I tend to enjoy the genre of films he plays in, I even saw Something's Gotta Give.
Would someone please give him credit???

I was watching "Hardball" last night, and it made me cry. It was then I realized the potential that Keanu has. In the "Matrix" trilogy, I believe that Keanu was playing himself, sort to say. I am basing this off of what I have read about him. I read that he is mysterious, and secretive. more or less, he is a loner, and that was what his character was like in the Matrix. But, when you watch "Hardball" you still see him playing "the Loner" just with a gambling problem. He tries to make his life better. I believe what would have made that film better is if there was some sense of time. I think that with the lack of that information it made the fill hard to grasp for some. Keanu's character reached through to the children, something most people were not able to do. Furthermore, Keanu was struggling with the gambling debt and as an addictive gambler he could not stop. caught between two worlds and knowing what was right, he struggled with it. Anyway, I still think that he is a great actor and he should be credited for more than he is. AFter all, I think he was the best choice for the Matrix. I could not picture anyone else besides him.
