Are there any subjects you either embrace or totally avoid talking about when you meet someone new?

Well, when I meet someone new (for a romantic relationship), it depends... Of course there is always to standard conversation:
What do you enjoy doing?
What do you do for income?
And are you in a relationship?

Those are always the standard. I would not want to be with someone who enjoys getting high and uses sex for income even if she is not in a relationship. That would not do.

No... those would be the standard. Outside of that, I would like to focus more on knowing what kind of person she is and if we could be compatible or not. I usually avoid talking about my past relationships until I feel she is a keeper or not. Just my thoughts.
