Mini Coopers are coming out with an electric version of their product!!!

This makes me happy!!! I have my heart set on a Mini Cooper and it is nice to know that by the time I purchase my car, they will have an electrical version of it.

Someone was telling me at work recently that you have to replace the battery in an electric car every few years (I think they said every 4 years) and that it costs several thousand dollars to do so... is that true?

Totally asking the wrong "guy" that question. I just love the car because it looks so cute. However, supposedly, electric cars are supposed to save you money on gas. If you, let's say, take $100 to fill your tank per week of gas (considering the price for gas nowadays), that comes to about $400 a month, which becomes $4800 a year. With that logic, it would be worthwhile to invest in the electric car (imo) because I predict the price of gas is going to end up going in one direction... up.

But as for the price of a new battery... totally don't know. That is good information to know though. Just means need to continue to budget and make sure I have the money to replace the battery when it's time. Yay.
