Yeah, I am aware that tomorrow is scheduled to be the strike against LJ. And as I get my fire protective gear on and ready, I am going to share my 2 cents on the whole situation as well.

Personally. I don't care about the strike. Really, I don't. I have been with LJ for a rather long time. i have enjoyed using the service and have tried other blog sites and found nothing really compares with Livejournal. I plan to continue to use the service regardless of any changes. When I first started LJ, I then thought about paying for the account. I didn't because, I mean seriously, all I was doing was "blogging," nothing more. However, there was one point that remained in my mind: The people behind LJ.

If you really think about it, there are actual people who are putting this site together, maintaining the site, and making sure that everything is running the way it should. They take their time to bring us the service. Personally, I think that they should be paid for the time they put into this site, really. And if that means making changes to the way the "free accounts" work, so be it. yea, I feel sorry for all the teens who may have used this site as a for of "stress" relief, but my understanding is that you can still keep the free account, it's just starting a new account that may require payment.

I have just upgraded my account to a paid account, and to be honest with you, it really is not that expensive. I mean, 20 dollars for 1 year. Honestly, that is not bad. I would encourage teens to have their parents do the same for them, as well. us adults can manage, I am sure.

So, in response to all the "strike" blogs, I shall not participate in the strike tomorrow. I did my bit so far, by cancelling my myspace for reasons that correlated with what the author of that article wrote. As for Livejournal, I support their decision and as long as they don't go greedy and actually up the price of "Membership" to something ridiculous, i am not effected by their changes.

Life is all about adaptions. Life is very fluid and nothing remains stable. Something always pops up. How you adapt to the changes determines what kind of person you are or will become (in my opinion).

Take care!
