This starts my three-week Winter break. In spite of my freedom from my day to day business...I have winter break projects to handle and it is imparitive that I attend to them.

What I must do within the three weeks:

Here comes the cut!

1) I must clean my apartment. I am planning to move out of this dreadful place as I have had enough of the nasty notes directing me what I need to do based on the "house rules." Furthermore, the fact that I cannot have my cat here is quite...nerve-wrecking. I am always worried about if my cat will ever get caught. Personally, I am at a point where I could careless if I get caught. i mean, I do have enough money to make a move now, if I have to, but I would like to move "leisurely" and not have to feel under pressure. Moreover, I would rather take time and find a decent place to live, then rush and make haste and just take up whatever is left. I tend to "dislike" places that I take because I "need" to move (i.e. my current apartment). So, we will see how that goes, seriously.

2) I need to revamp my classroom...it is totally messed up. Papers are stacking up like there is no tomorrow. So, I need to get in there and clean and organize the room once again. I must admit that watching the room be messy is just really annoying me. I have found it difficult to find things that I need when I need them and then spend hours looking for it afterwards. Which, of course, leads to frustration. Ugh. So a portion of my break will be spent cleaning and reorganizing that classroom as well. Can we say, "streeeeeeeess!"

3) Report cards! Yay, everyone's favorite moment in education. Yep, so I will need to make sure that I fill in grades for all my students before my break ends, or risk falling behind in everything again. Speaking of reports...I also have to do reports for school. Ugh, does this mad paperwork ever really end...? NO! Yes, fellow bloggers, don't become an educator if you are allergic to paperwork because it really never ever ends. Well, it doesn't end until the school year ends and then you are free until it resumes the following year. But, I can handle it. Furthermore, I truly gotta up my game in the Education field because when i return to work in January, I will no longer be on probation, I will be...Tenured! So, time to "grow up" a tad...lol.

4) I must also work on the yearbook for my school. Yeah, as if I have not enough on my plate, hello more work. I need to finish the second grade pages and then work on everyone else's. If not the yearbook will not be finished and well...that will create bigger complications for the school. Whoa, I know tough break for me. Eeek.

Well, that is that. Yea, I know a lot to do and only 3 weeks to do it. Wish me luck. Until then...Happy holidays to you and and to all a peaceful and harmonious night.

Cheers.

Wow. Sounds like a very busy "break" for you. I hope you're able to get some down time in the middle of all that.

Renting can be such a pain. In some ways I really like it because if something breaks, you just call someone up and they deal with it. Though sometimes...they don't. Which can be annoying. But then you've got rules and restrictions and whatnot. It can suck.

I'm like you...I can't deal with messiness. I hope you're able to get it all sorted out quickly so you can enjoy the rest of your break.

What grade do you teach? Sounds like you're very active.

Have a good holiday and make sure to take SOME time for yourself.

Yeah, but the cleaning, hopefully will not take too long....I just really need to get it done. Seriously.

I teach grade 2, and enjoy it.

wow that sounds crazy! remember, having a mental breakdown isn't going to get you any further ahead than working like a mad man.

When I cleaned my place I chose one aspect of it that I was going to do. First task, the closet. One cannot fix the rest of the room without adequate storage space. I took EVERYTHING out and put back only what I had used in the last 6 months. What was left either went to charity or the garbage. Same day was my dressers as they're sort of connected to my closet. Day after was my book cases/movies/books/knicknacks. I would also set a time limit cuz I could clean for hours and not get anything else done. Take breaks and do other things that need to get done before the break is over. REMEMBER TO REWARD YOURSELF FOR ALL THE HARD WORK!

bah, I want to clean your apartment now! you can do the rest of everything, I'll just clean

Sure come on down to Hawaii, I could use the help with the cleaning. If you clean, I'll focus on my yearbook instead and that would be great! Muhahahaha.
