If your best friend asked you OR your partner to help you conceive a child, would you consider it? How do you think it would affect your friendship and your relationship?

Ironically, my best friend has asked me to just this... with tongue in cheek. My response: "hell no!" I DO believe that will jeopardize the relationship. I lost a friend because of sex. She stated it she was "ok" with it, but of course she wasn't. She wanted more from the relationship, and I didn't. So... my answer would be: NO NO NO NO!

Well, she stated with tongue in cheek, so I don't think she was seriously considering "with me." But sometimes it hard to tell. At any point, I don't think i could live with that, knowing that the child came from me.

Any other method is costly for her... and she has no money right now, but still wants children. I am sure she will figure something out.

When it happens it happens, you don't personally have to be responsible. Personally I agree, I don't think I'd want something I donated DNA to out there without my knowledge (obviously this is a little more difficult but entirely possible) I was just curious, don't get me wrong!
