Will you participate in Blog Action Day, powered by Change.org? Do you think journaling about environmental issues can raise public awareness and drive (pedal?) grassroots activism to chill global warming? If so, join and start posting for a healthy planet.

Ok, so when is Blog Action Day again... OH... today? Well, I guess I shall not be joining in on the fun. Price I pay for noticing this too late and living in Hawaii, where it's too late for many online events. As far as journaling about global warming... aren't there enough signs in the world to spread the word already? I don't think that blogging about it is going to really help because the people who need to know and do something about it, don't even have a computer or don't care. I hate to be negative, but this is the only issue where I carry a strong and heavy club of negativity with. I mean, let's face it... we... the humans of planet Earth... have fucked up the planet. We deserve to be kicked off, drowned, frozen to oblivion. That is what I feel. I don't think we deserve to stay on a planet that we failed to take care of when we had the chance. 1990, the world should have came together and start one massive movement for recycling. The electric car should have been allowed for mass marketing. But that is not how the American economy (nor global economy) works. So, we fucked it up. Even with computers we are still not being responsible with them. I believe that they should be recycled and the parts should be used to create newer models, thus alleviating stress on natural resources such as gold.

I wasn't going to blog about it, but what do you know I was suckered into blogging about it after all. Sneaky buggers.. really. Have a great night all!

I honestly didn't know Blog Action Day existed until I saw it in the Writer's Block.

I also had a similar mindset to that question, even if I did journal about environmental issues, I still can't help but remember that the electricity I'm using to run the computer came from the local power plant that burns fossil fuels for electricity. Every time I would have posted in that community, I'm also causing more pollution... I guess it's like a double-edged sword.

Not only were people suckered into talking about global issues, I think that the blogactiontoday community just found a sneaky way of mass promotion of itself on LJ :p
