Hey Faithful Bloggers and readers,

This week has been something. What more can I say. I have some quite exciting news to share with everyone today:

Monday: My school had an assembly. Normally, the Vice Principal or the Principal would lead the assembly. However, because we are currently Principal-less, the VP has been the acting principal for our school. That being said, the VP had to go to a principal meeting and it became a question of, "who's going to run the assembly?" I was asked to make a lot of "techy" presentations for the assembly, but of course, I was asked to lead to assembly. No problem. I worked on 2 videos and a power point for the assembly. I was up until 1:00 AM Monday morning prepping, just for the assembly. So, with only 2 hours of sleep (yep, woke up at 3:00) I walked to school in a suit. The assembly was great...ly full of problem after problem after problem.

1. My opening was good, but the CD for the "Star-Spangled Banner" and "Hawai Ponoi" was missing. I really didn't think of anything at the moment. So... I sang both songs a cappella. No... not easy. But, I did it and the whole school (600+ people and children) we watching me!

2. My main video decided it didn't want to play like it was suppose to (what was the point of staying up sooo late?)

3. The acting "VP" was nowhere to be found when I announced him.

Ok, all in all, it was ok. Many people were shocked I sang 2 very difficult songs with no music. Later, people were like, "if it were me, I would have just skipped it." Then I thought: Oh yeah, that probably would have been easier.

Tuesday: Regular school day.

Wednesday: I ran the grade level meeting. Our grade level chair was out for training.

Thursday: Open House. Got to meet some of my parents. Only 5 showed up.

Friday: Wine party. I didn't get smashed, like some people, but we did play Taboo and Pictionary. It was a pretty entertaining night. I loved it.

That was my week. Today, going hiking, beach, and singing (this time at Karaoke). Looking forward to some fun.

Take care.

That was quite awesome of you to sing those songs A Capella though, the songs are usually an important piece of assemblies I've been to :) And you singing it would have been more memorable ^^ (although if someone ever forgets them again, they'd probably be asking you to sing it again, hehehe)

I don't think most parents go to the open house thing, but my family usually goes to them to see how my brothers are doing in school.

I haven't played pictonary in a long time,!

I Know!!! It was the most hilarious game ever too! My team lost, but we made a HUGE comeback.

I hope they NEVER ask me to sing again. I don't think I want to relive that experience again, LOL.

Brave, or daft. Which of the two, not really sure. Seriously, after people were commenting I was thinking, "yeah, I should have just skipped the songs." But at the time I didn't think about skipping it, which is why I sang it.
